How it started.

Three stages

Before Not Okay Pop, there were three separate acts. Jia led an idol group. Vivy fronted an idol-rock band. Rei was a solo idol, the trained one.

Each of them loved the stage. Each of them wanted more freedom than their act allowed.

And quietly, they were fans of each other.

Always just missing

They went to each other’s shows and never once met. Different parts of the crowd. Different rooms after the show.

They played the same venues on different nights. Three names on three separate bills. Three posters, taken down in turn.

Same halls.
Never the same night.

One room

Then, finally, all three ended up in the same room. No crowd in between. No separate bills.

Every near-miss had been leading here. They walked in as three acts and walked out as one band, born out of pure joy.

Not Okay Pop

Sweet pop with teeth. Cute and raw, melodic and abrasive, living in the same body at once. The music came first; Jia, Vivy and Rei were created to carry it further.

Not Okay Pop is openly virtual. The lyrics are written by a human, Eyrindor. The voices, instruments and visuals are made with AI, and nobody here pretends otherwise.
